Curious about what it’s like to work with me?

Here are all of the most common questions I get about therapy.

  • I work individuals who want to feel like themselves again. My clients are incredibly deep and talented individuals, but they are suffering from identity loss, anxiety, depression, and trauma. Many of them experience symptoms of PTSD.

Many of my have some sort of creative expression they have stuffed away (lots of times it is writing). We work to integrate it into their lives again and we use it to work through the trauma/anxiety/depression they are currently experiencing.

If you do not fall into these categories but this website still speaks to something in you, please reach out! I would love to talk with you and see if we are a good fit.

  • I am located at 5300 Town and Country Blvd Suite 240, Frisco, TX 75034.

My office is inside a shared office space called “Therapy Space” When you enter the building, go up the elevator and follow the signs directing you to the space. t the time of our session, I will greet you in the waiting room and walk with you to my office. It is cozy and welcoming!

I also see clients virtually, click the next section for more info!

  • Yes! I offer online sessions in both Texas and Utah. If we meet virtually, you’ll receive an email before your appointment with a link to a secure video chat. You can use your phone or a laptop to connect - typically people prefer using a laptop.

For virtual appointments, you’ll want to be in a private room so that no disruptions take from our time together. It’s ideal to have adequate lighting and comfortable seating with a surface you can set your phone or laptop on.

  • Virtual therapy is wonderful! It does feel different from in-person, but it also has its own strengths. I love that I can meet with moms during their children’s naptime, professionals during their lunch break, and worn-out women after a long day (no need to leave your comfy couch).

While I love meeting with people in person, I am so glad that I get to use virtual therapy. If you’re uncertain about it, let’s try a session or two and see how you feel. Most clients who do this realize that it fits well for them and they stick with it.

  • I have made an intentional choice to remain out-of-network in order to put my clients first. The care I provide is highly individualized and customized according to my expertise and your unique needs, not to insurance mandates. By being out-of-network, I am also more able to safeguard the details of your care, honoring your privacy.

  • My current rate is: $180/50 minute session.

I am out of network with most insurance providers, but I am more than happy to provide a monthly “super bill.” This is a form you submit to your insurance provider and they reimburse you to some extent.

I have partnered with Mentaya to help my clients save money on therapy. Check your benefits here to see if you're eligible for reimbursement.

If you qualify, Mentaya will handle your out-of-network claims and ensure insurance reimbursement. They charge a 5% processing fee per claim and have helped clients receive thousands of dollars back in reimbursements. To sign up for their service, use this link.

I recognize that therapy is an investment. Let’s create a plan together so you work on what is most important to you in a time period that fits your budget.

  • The 15 minute consultation is a time for both of us to see if we are a good therapeutic fit. It is a time for you to ask any specific questions you have for me.

How it works: I will call you at the time we have scheduled. We’ll talk about what you are seeking from therapy. I’ll ask you some questions to make sure that you’re getting help from the right place. If it feels like a good fit for both of us, we’ll move forward and schedule from there.

  • During your first meeting, we'll talk about you and your life, and discuss the concerns that brought you to us. Together, we'll use this information to start to define your goals for therapy.

  • Great question. I wish there was a simple answer! Client progress varies, depending on life circumstances and current distress.

Many of my clients find that going to therapy weekly for 6 months is a good start. From there we can determine if more work together is suitable, or we’ve arrived at a good maintenance point, and we can create a treatment plan tailored to your needs reassessing your needs as we go.

  • It really comes down to feeling and expertise. There is an intangible “click” that happens when. you find the right therapist. You feel truly seen. You feel like you can finally breathe. Part of this comes from personality connection, and part of this comes from knowing that you can trust the expertise of your therapist. You’ll know if I’m a good fit by the way you feel and by ensuring my trained specialty aligns with your needs.

The research shows that “fitting” with a therapist is the biggest indicator for if therapy works for you. It is crucial for me to make sure you are in the right place. If I believe that I wouldn’t be able to provide the help you need, I will provide referrals to other clinicians which may be a better fit.
