Why Your Self-Care Isn’t Working– and What To Do Instead (feat. Jordan Boehler, LCSW)

How many times have you heard the term “self-care” in the past five years? The concept has blown up all over social media and the self-help section of the bookstore, but if you’re anything like the rest of us, it probably feels impossible to actually implement. On this episode of Talk Terracotta, guest Jordan Boehler lets us in on the secret to actually doing the actions that make us feel rejuvenated and creative as parents (and just as humans in general!). Jordan also provides a hands-on technique to try in communicating with your child and teaches us how to use the word “should” in a way that is actually useful.

Jordan Boehler, LCSW, is a father of two (unless you count the cat), a husband, a psychotherapist, a musician, a hiker. He is a Mimetic Therapist and a Rapid Resolution Therapist. He developed the Mimetic Therapies approach to parenting techniques. He works with parents, couples, and individuals in CA, MA, and FL. You can find more about him at www.mind-mechanic.com and www.thegoodirs.org.
